LONDON — As the July 24 release date for her seventh studio album approaches, Charli XCX is orchestrating a paradigm-shifting moment in contemporary pop music with her forthcoming project, Music, Fashion, Film, accompanied by a sweeping North American arena tour.

Following the unprecedented cultural dominance of 2024’s Brat, the British pop icon is deliberately subverting expectations. The new album’s title, derived from a wistful lyric on the recently released single “SS26,” signals a more introspective yet sonically aggressive direction, incorporating prominent guitar-driven arrangements that defy conventional pop tropes.

The Vision: The album cover art is a monumental convergence of cultural titans, featuring a striking black-and-white photograph of Velvet Underground’s John Cale, designer Marc Jacobs, and legendary filmmaker Martin Scorsese, all captured by acclaimed Scottish photographer Aidan Zamiri.

To support the 11-track, 30-minute project, Charli XCX has announced the 'Music, Fashion, Film Tour', slated to kick off on September 11, 2026, at Philadelphia’s Xfinity Mobile Arena. The extensive routing includes multiple nights at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena, and culminates with back-to-back performances at Los Angeles’ Kia Forum in mid-October.

In a commendable move toward accessibility, the tour will feature “Angel Tickets”—a limited allocation of $20 tickets made available in August, purchasable in pairs. Furthermore, a select number of premium charity tickets in the first five rows of each venue will be offered, with 50% of the net proceeds directly benefiting the Transgender Law Center, an organization dedicated to protecting the rights of transgender individuals to live safely and authentically.

Tour Highlights:

  • September 11: Xfinity Mobile Arena, Philadelphia, PA
  • September 14-15: Barclays Center, Brooklyn, NY
  • September 21: Scotiabank Arena, Toronto, ON
  • October 17-18: Kia Forum, Los Angeles, CA

Addressing the speculation surrounding her stylistic pivot, Charli recently clarified her artistic intent, noting that while the new material embraces a grittier texture, it remains rooted in the ephemeral joy and sincerity that defines her discography. “Things can be funny, earnest, sincere, and joyful all at the same time,” she remarked, dismissing rigid genre demarcations.

As the music industry anticipates this next chapter, Music, Fashion, Film promises to be a seminal release, challenging the boundaries of pop music while delivering an unparalleled live experience for her devoted global fanbase.
