In a dismissive reaction to a major shift in the combat sports landscape, UFC President Dana White has brushed off the recent merger between Jake Paul's Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) and the Professional Fighters League (PFL).

The monumental announcement, made in late July 2026, detailed the unification of the two organizations. In a press release, Paul stated that the goal of disrupting the "broken" model for mixed martial arts had been accelerated by a decade thanks to this strategic alliance.

A Blunt Assessment from the UFC Chief

Speaking to Oscar Willis of The Mac Life, White dismissed the notion that the merged entity would create any significant waves in the industry. "I don't know anything about what they're doing," White stated. "It probably makes sense when s— isn't working for anybody, we should all probably get together. Let's take two organizations that don't sell tickets and nobody watches and let's merge them together and make a bigger company that won't sell tickets and nobody will watch."
