Ferragamo Unveils Surreal Fall/Winter 2026 Campaign Featuring Willie Cole's Iconic Shoe Sculpture
In a surreal celebration of footwear artistry, Ferragamo has unveiled its Fall/Winter 2026 campaign, transforming the house's lifelong obsession with shoes into a dreamlike visual manifesto that blurs the boundaries between fashion, art, and design.
The meticulously crafted campaign, released on July 31, 2026, was photographed by Johnny Dufort and stars an illustrious cast including Anok Yai, Vittoria Ceretti, Thibaud Charon, and Ferragamo Global Brand Ambassadors Jingyu Huang and Ning Chang.
A Throne of Shoes
At the crux of the campaign lies a breathtaking sculptural element: contemporary artist Willie Cole's iconic 1994 work "Shoe Obsession," constructed entirely from worn shoes. The piece serves as a throne for Anok Yai, whose powerful and confident energy transforms the artwork into a spectacle of footwear connoisseurship.
"Willie takes everyday objects: objects that you feel connected to, that you can relate to, and distorts them," creative director Maximilian Davis elucidated. "The chair feels very surreal, but immediate—and, with my recent collections referencing Surrealism and Dadaism, the collaboration felt right."

For Ferragamo's Autumn-Winter 2026 campaign, the house celebrates the joy of its lifelong obsession with shoes through a fresh perspective. Willie Cole's shoe sculpture takes centre stage as a throne for Anok Yai.
A Cinematic Homage to Hollywood
Dufort's lens revisits a recurring house image: actresses and cinematic stars posing among an abundance of footwear. However, he modernizes the concept through a surreal visual approach that gives Ferragamo's established language a fresh, contemporary direction.
The campaign presents footwear, bags, and formal menswear within oneiric compositions, continuing the house's visual tradition of placing recognizable figures among shoes while changing the tone through scale, arrangement, and unexpected perspective.
The 1920s Reimagined
In the Fall/Winter 2026 collection, Davis explored the 1920s through a crisp yet contemporary lens. By honoring the "Shoemaker to the Stars," silhouettes like the pointed-toe and elongated took shape in boots, pumps, and Oxfords, making the sleek shoes a focal point of both the show and the campaign.
This synergy between Davis's seasonal direction and Cole's transformative art creates a dialogue that elevates Ferragamo's heritage beyond mere commerce, positioning the brand as a patron of contemporary creativity and a custodian of artistic innovation.
As the fashion world absorbs this prescient campaign, it becomes clear that Ferragamo is not merely selling shoes—it is crafting a legacy where art, fantasy, and Italian craftsmanship converge in perfect symphony.
