The confession was delivered with the mock-terror of a man who knows precisely how ferocious the Rihanna Navy can be when its hopes are raised. Yet the timing lends the chatter a charge that earlier teasers lacked: the interview, which premiered on BET's YouTube channel this week, landed on the heels of Rihanna's most visible public season in years, capped by her sculptural, pewter-armoured turn at the 2026 Met Gala.

A Decade of Almosts
